DETECTIVES are continuing to investigate after an armed robbery at a shop in Burnley.
Raiders armed with a machete and axe made off with thousands of pounds during the robbery at the Spar shop, Manchester Road, in November. The gang of three men, who were wearing balaclavas, struck as two Securicor workers were unloading cash boxes. An Alfa Romeo used in the raid, bearing the false registration number ST53 YJC, was then found abandoned on nearby Glen View Road.
