SHAKESPEARE was given a modern twist by a group of students - they set their production in a nightclub.
The Dream, which is based on A Midsummer Night's Dream, is "not a production for the purists" according to organisers.
But the play, performed and directed by pupils at Westholme School in Blackburn, has been a big hit at the school's theatre.
Head of drama Holly Hammond said: "We produced the play in a modern way to bring it up to date and to allow it to appeal to a younger audience."
Before the play began its three-night run on Thursday the pupils were boosted by a good luck message from Lord of the Rings actor Sir Ian McKellen.
