PEACE on Earth is the message being sent out in one school's Christmas cards this year after a creative pupil's artistic designs won a Lancashire Telegraph competition.
Amber Cowell, of St Christopher's C of E School, Accrington, came up with the winning Christmas card design depicting a dove flying past Mary who is cradling baby Jesus. Her design was picked by judges from hundreds of entries.
The 12-year-old's picture has been printed on 500 cards and will be sold by the school to raise money.
The two other winners were Imogen Spencer, aged 8, of Holy Mount Primary School, Ramsbottom and Sophie Dunbar, aged 5, of St Stephen's School, Tockholes, Blackburn.
They each receive 100 cards each, printed in their design.
All winners also received a trophy and art set.
