STAFF from Blackburn Youth Zone founder patrons MDA have completed a gruelling coast to coast cycle challenge in aid of the organisation.
Starting near the Irish Sea in the town of Whitehaven, the charity challenge saw the team, including Kelley Spencer, Roger Swansbury and Paul Hadley, cover more than 140 miles in three days.
Kelley, head of human resources at MDA, said: “It was a really great challenge, the hills were tough but everybody kept smiling and we are really proud to have completed it and having done so for such a great charity.”
Laura Jones, events manager at Blackburn Youth Zone, said: “The support MDA give us as founder patrons is fantastic.
“But for them to want to literally go that extra mile for us and raise money is a great example of MDA team members coming together to support the town’s future.”
There is still time to sponsor Team mda by logging on to uk.virgin moneygiving.com/team/ mda. To find out how you can help raise money for the Zone, call 01254 292000.
