JAKE Berry, MP for Rossendale, has personally wished a Whitewell Bottom beauty queen the best of luck with her bid to be crowned Miss Teen Great Britain next month.
Brittany Hargreaves, 18, received a letter from the MP which said: “I wanted to write personally to you to wish you all the best in the final of Miss Teen Great Britain.
“I was pleased to hear that you are doing this to support and raise awareness for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation. Good luck for the competition and if there is any way I can be of assistance to you in the future, please do not hesitate to contact me.”
The Burnley College sports science student also has ambitions to be a model or physiotherapist.
She will be enjoying near-home advantage at the national finals though, as they take place at The Globe in Blackpool.
The prizes include a crown and sash, £1,000 cash, £500 worth of dresses, a modelling portfolio and introduction to one of the leading teen modelling and casting agencies.
The winner also goes forward to Miss Teen Galaxy International, held near Miami, featuring contestants from all over the world.
