A SPECIAL memorial is to be set up in memory of a Burnley charity worker murdered while working in India.

Michael Blakey, 23, was killed in the north of the country after going missing from a monastery where he was staying.

His body was found half-buried under a pile of stones where he was a regular worshipper.

An investigation has been launched by the Indian police.

Following his death the charity he worked for - Tong Len - have set up a memorial fund in his name to raise cash for a new base on the sub-continent which will be named after Michael.
