A WHITEWELL Bottom teenager is hoping to make Rossendale proud when she competes in the final of Miss Teen Great Britain.

It is the second time in as many years 19-year-old Brittany Hargreaves has reached the final of the national competition.

Last year, she reached the top eight and was awarded the the title of Style Queen.

On September 1 Brittany, who qualified for the national final after being crowned Miss Teen Lancashire, will strut her stuff on stage once again.

She said: “I’m really excited about the pageant as you get to meet lots of girls, who you become really good friends with.

“I hope I do everyone proud and bring the crown home to Lancashire.”

Mum Andrea Jones, 43, said support will be strong for the teen, with family travelling to the Globe, at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, for the final.

She said: “I’m very proud. She loves being in front of a camera. She has met some lovely girls and has been away with them.”

Brittany uses her Miss Teen Lancashire title to support the Rosemere Cancer Foundation at charity events and also attends the opening of local shops.

When she’s not modelling or supporting charities, she works as a barmaid at Nino’s Restaurant, Cliviger, which is her proud sponsor.

Brittany said: “If I win, I will win £1,000 and loads of prizes. There’s around 60 girls in the final and I’m confident of winning.

“It’s based on looks, personality and your outfit on the night and if suits you.

“It would be amazing if I won.”
