A MAN, who was thought to be ‘heavily intoxicated’, was found collapsed at the side of a Blackburn road.
Firefighters stopped to help the man, who was thought to be in his mid 40s, after they spotted him outside the Royal Mail sorting offices, in Canterbury Street at around 6.45pm on Saturday. Crew manager Lee Cook said: “He appeared to be unresponsive and unconscious.
“We pulled over, checked him over and requested an ambulance.”
The man was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.
