POLICE are still appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Blackburn on Friday.
The victim, a 40-year-old local man, was stabbed in the stomach and arm with a knife in Rawstorne Street at around 10.50am following a disagreement with another man.
He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment and later transferred to the Royal Preston Hospital. His condition was yesterday described as ‘stable’.
A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in police custody where he is being questioned by detectives.
Det Insp Paul Langley said: “We believe that there were a lot of witnesses to this incident and I would urge these people to come forward to assist with our investigation.”
