A FORMER Barnoldswick resident has celebrated his 100th birthday.
Sydney Shepherd was met with wellwishers at Heslam House, St Francis Road, Blackburn.
Nephew Don Emsley, of Full View, Blackburn, said the former farm worker had aged well.
He added: "He has all his marbles, he can potter about with a stick.
"His eyes aren't too good but his memory is all there."
