TODAY is the final deadline to fill in a survey about Rossendale Minor Injuries Unit, which Coun Gladys Sandiford has warned could close next year if people do not show their support.
Since the MIU opened, figures show there have been fewer patients attending the Emergency Department at Blackburn and other Urgent Care Centres.
After getting off to a slow start and only receiving 10 patients per day, the Rawtenstall resource is now exceeding expectations, with a daily average of 28 people visiting the centre for treatment.
The centre is half way through its two year pilot run and hospital chiefs have released a consultation for residents to voice their opinions on the service.
