POLICE dealing with a noisy party complaint saw a man come out of the venue, get into the driving seat of his car but then change his mind and return to the party.
Blackburn magistrates heard the officers decided to park up at the end of the street and shortly after the same car was driven past them by Shaun Dingle.
Dingle, 22, of Hodder Grove, Darwen, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol and without insurance. He was banned from driving for 20 months and fined £420 with £21 costs.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said the officers saw the car being driven into Hodder Grove but when they got there it had been abandoned. They went to his home address and Dingle was found hiding in the back garden.
