LANCASHIRE County Council is inviting families across Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Ribble Valley, Rossendale and Chorley who are considering adopting to a special information evening.
The authority’s children service’s department is looking for families to offer a permanent home to a youngster unable to live with their birth family.
People who have adopted will share their experiences, and social workers will be available to answer questions, and explain the process. The event will be held on Thursday, August 8 from 6pm to 7.30pm in Cabinet Room C at County Hall, Fishergate Hill, Preston, starting with a short slideshow presentation.
There is free parking and disabled access.
People from all backgrounds are welcome. They must be over 21, and living in Lancashire or nearby. The county is looking to place children with families from young babies up to the age of eight.
