A MOTORCYCLIST from Todmorden died after a crash with a Burnley driver in the Yorkshire Dales.
The 39-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision near Clapham on Saturday afternoon.
The motorcyclist was riding his Ducati along the A65 Clapham bypass, near to the junction with Station Road, at around 2.20pm when he collided with a silver Ford Focus.
The driver of the Ford Focus, an 83-year-old man from Burnley, was not injured in the collision.
Traffic Sergeant Pete Stringer, of North Yorkshire Police's roads policing group, appealed for witnesses and said: “If you witnessed the incident or were in the area around the time of the collision, I am urging you to come forward and contact the police straight away.
“It is possible that you may have vital information that could assist our investigation.
“I am also asking anyone who may have seen either of the vehicles involved prior to the incident to get in touch as soon as possible.”
