Sir Jimmy Savile was guest of honour at the preview night of Chilli Pepper, the town's new Pakistani restaurant.
He spent Sunday evening talking to other guests and, of course, trying out the dishes on offer.
Sir Jimmy, 82, pictured trying the dishes with advice with restaurant owner Shayasta Miahs, said he felt at home in the town.
