A NIGHTMARE neighbour has been ordered to leave her Burnley home after a string of complaints from people living nearby.

Foul-mouthed Angela Schillaci, 42, frequently disturbed her neighbours with loud parties at her Cobden Street home, Reedley magistrates were told.

Borough council bosses, working with neighbourhood police in Bank Hall ward, have now secured an interim anti-social behaviour order on Schillaci, after obtaining statements from residents.

And town hall solicitor Jonathan Jackson also persuaded magistrates to impose a three-week closure order on her home until a full ASBO hearing in August.

Under the interim ASBO, she must not use threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour within the borough boundaries.

She was also barred from entering her former home and associating with her partner Paul Hartley.

One neighbour, who asked not to be named, said: “There was always something going at that house.

It caused problems for a lot of people but maybe now we'll get a bit of peace and quiet.”

Not only was she aggressive towards people living nearby but she also took out her frustrations on police.

Days before she was due in court, Schillaci assaulted PC Michael Higginson. She appeared before Burnley magistrates on July 15, for the attack three days earlier and pleaded guilty.

Schillaci was fined £70 with a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £95. She was ordered to be detained in the courthouse until the end of the court sitting, in lieu of payment.

She has been ordered to return to court on August 8 for a full ASBO hearing.
