EMERGENCY services were called out to The Mall in Blackburn in the early hours of yesterday morning after receiving reports of a suspected suicide attempt.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended at around 1am and found that there were two teenage girls on the top of the car park threatening to jump. Police negotiators established a dialogue with the girls before they were both brought down by officers at around 2.50am. Specially-trained paramedics attended the incident with two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle. One girl was treated for cuts. They were taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
