A 67-YEAR-old woman, who died after tripping over an electrical cable at home and passed away following hip surgery, was found to have died from several combining factors, a coroner ruled.
Maureen Iddon, who lived on Oaksfield in Darwen, died on May 16 following surgery to replace her hip, which was fractured after falling over a vacuum lead in her hall.
Coroner Michael Singleton declared a narrative at the Blackburn court hearing.
He said the stress caused by surgery worsened pre-existing bronchial pneumonia, obstructive pulmonary disease and hypertensive heart disease.
