AN ONLINE car parts seller has vowed to keep his website going despite pressure from car giant Ford.
The US motor firm objected to Newford Parts Centre in Chorley, using the name newfordparts. co.uk.
An expert at the Nominet internet domain name dispute resolution service ruled in favour of Ford, and owner Nick Horridge was ordered to change the name.
But he has got around the ruling by adding a hyphen and changing his website address to www. newford-parts.co.uk.
Mr Horridge said: “It’s rubbish. I’ve been trading under this name for 45 years.
“They can try to make me change it again, but I’ll defend myself next time.”
