EAST Lancashire MEP Paul Nuttall has accused the Prime Minister of being ‘disingenuous’ in claiming he wants to renegotiate the UK’s relationship with the EU.
Deputy leader of UKIP Mr Nuttall commented as Foreign Minister William Hague published an audit of the impact of EU membership on UK businesses and public services.
Mr Nuttall said the report showed 400 new EU laws had come into effect since the Government was formed, costing British business £626m a year.
He said: “Conservatives were responsible for voting in favour of two thirds of this year’s legislation.”
