ELECTRICITY North West will begin work on Roman Road and Blackamoor, Blackburn, from Saturday to repair the road surface after previous excavations.
Works will begin on Blackamoor Road and then progress onto Roman Road taking a maximum of three weeks to complete.
Balfour Beatty hope to complete it quicker if the weather stays dry.
Traffic will be controlled by use of temporary traffic lights which will be manually controlled during peak periods.
Spotters will be placed on Roman Road, Blackamoor Road and Stopes Brow to monitor traffic levels and will revert to manual control should traffic levels rise during the day.
Once the works at the junction are complete, works will progress onto Roman Road where stop/go boards will be used.
The work has been planned in to start during the school holidays to reduce disruption as traffic levels are generally lighter.
