ICE cream was in ‘hot demand’ in a bid to raise money for a little boy with a rare condition.
A classic 1950s ice cream van visited pupils at St Augustine’s RC High School in Billington, and St Mary’s RC Primary School in Langho, as part of their fund-raising efforts for Rohan Flynn, who has an aggressive strain of muscular dystrophy.
His parents are hoping to be able to take him to Disney World in Florida before he is confined to a wheelchair.
A group of St Augustine’s year nine pupils were behind the idea. They wanted to help the Raise for Rohan campaign.
They served more than 600 ice creams in 40 minutes at the Elker Lane school and a further 300 at St Mary’s.
