RUGBY players in Pendle are planning a marathon game of touch rugby to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
A total of 28 players from Colne and Nelson RUFC will be looking to break the 27-hour world record for a game, set by an Australian group in September 2010.
The event was the idea of club members Adam Padgett, Tom Davies, and Callum Kinane.
Adam’s brother Ryan was diagnosed with a form of the disorder Duchenne muscular dystrophy at just six years old.
As well as the world record attempt at the club’s Holt House base, there will also be a fun day at the events on August 10 and 11.
