PARENTS across Lancashire have been told to think about travel arrangements for the new school year.
The county council, responsible for education in Pendle, Hyndburn, Burnley, Ribble Valley, Rossendale and Chorley, is sending out information about transport costs for pupils transferring to secondary school who may be entitled to help.
Officials are urging parents and guardians to send application forms back by Wednesday, July 31 to ensure the new pass is received for the start of the new term.
Parents and guardians who think their child may be entitled to help with travel costs but who have not been contacted should ring the School Traveline on 01772 534 588.
Pupils who received assistance last year for children attending the same school are no longer required to renew. Passes will be automatically posted out.
