A 77-YEAR-old woman died following hip replacement surgery, an inquest heard.
Pauline Dean, from Accrington, died on May 17 after the procedure at Blackburn’s Beardwood Hospital.
Mrs Dean was treated as a private patient by surgeon Rajan Mohan. Mr Mohan said the surgery was a success and no complications could have been foreseen.
However, in the hours after, Mrs Dean suffered a haemorrhage.
The coroner ruled a verdict of accidental death.
