WATER Primary School in Rawtenstall has become the first to benefit from Rossendale Council's new policy of donating spare computer equipment.
The Burnley Road East school has been given old monitors, keyboards and hard drives, to be use in its IT room.
Head Helen McLenahan said: "We feel very fortunate as the equipment will be extremely useful to us - we haven't replaced the school's computers for at least three years, which is a long time in technology."
