STAFF from The Mall and Blackburn shops glammed up to celebrate the shopping centre’s annual achievement awards.
They attended as Kiss, Katie Perry, Dusty Springfield, Adam Ant, and many more singing sensations for the bash at Ewood Park.
The annual event, celebrating The Mall’s 100 plus retailers, saw staff dressed to the theme of Star’s In Their Eyes! New Look was crowned ‘Best Overall Retailer’. Best Independent Retailer went to Time Piece.
Primark lifted two trophies after winning Best Involvement In Mall Marketing Initiatives and the C&R Safe Award, which celebrates excellence in health and safety.
Debenhams, which recently underwent a multi-million redevelopment, won the prize for Best Customer Experience.
Management and staff from Millies’ Cookies collectively won the Best Fancy Dress Award after coming as rock band Kiss.
Loraine Jones, Dusty Springfield impersonator and general manager of The Mall Blackburn, said: “The evening was a resounding success and it was absolutely fantastic to see how much work everyone had put into their costumes.”
Proceeds of the night went to The Mall’s nominated charity, Blackburn Youth Zone.
