PLANS have been submitted for the construction of a wind turbine in Gisburn.
The proposed development at Shuttleworth Hall Farm would have a blade tip height of 74 metres, with the hub standing at 50 metres.
A spokesman for Mosscliff Environmental Ltd, who are acting as agents to the farm’s owner, said: “The turbine has been specifically designed for low noise operation and minimal visual impact.
“It will enable the applicants to reduce their carbon emissions and energy bill while increasing their self-sufficiency in terms of electricity production.”
