A MAN said to have held the dealing phones in a drugs plot is facing jail.
Shahid Ansar, 22, admitted conspiring to supply Class A drugs between December 2011 and April 2013, when he faced Burnley Crown Court.
The defendant, of St Paul’s Road, Nelson, was remanded in custody to await sentence and was warned by Recorder William T C Smith that custody was the almost inevitable outcome.
Prosecutor Joe Boyd told the court Ansar had owned up on the basis that his role was to hold the dealing phones. It was not his conspiracy but he played a part in it.
Mr Boyd said: “I will be opening the case on the basis the organisation and movement of mobile phones was an integral and significant feature of this conspiracy.”
