BLACKBURN company Ensor Building Products has donated £250 to sponsor a Military Wives Choir concert at Blackburn Cathedral on Saturday, September 28.
A cheque was presented to Kingsman Anthony Cooper from 1st Battalion Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, and Malcolm Smith MBE, chairman of armed forces charity SSAFA Lancashire.
Anthony, 24, from Euxton, near Chorley, was patrolling in Helmand Province when a makeshift bomb exploded, causing him to lose both his legs from the knee down, his right eye, two fingers, and suffer brain damage.
Philip Brooke, managing director of Ensor Building Products said: “We were delighted to have been given the opportunity to help such a worthy cause which culminated in a visit from Kingsman Cooper.”
