A 26-year-old Blackburn man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
Daniel Charles Little is alleged to have started a fire in his flat in Adelaide Terrace, Blackburn.
The other 16 flats in the complex had to be evacuated during the blaze on Tuesday and a female resident needed hospital treatment.
Little was granted bail on condition that he returned to live with his mother in Grindleton Road, West Bradford, and did not enter Blackburn, but prosecutor Scott Ainge lodged an appeal against the decision.
