A 27-YEAR-OLD man who attacked his mum because she told him to tidy up after himself has been jailed.
Blackburn magistrates heard Aaron Taylor was arrested but returned the following day and when his mum could not tell him where his ‘weed’ was he attacked her again, hitting her repeatedly about the head with a trainer.
Taylor, of Glenluce Crescent, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of assaulting Ann-Marie Taylor and being drunk and disorderly at Royal Blackburn Hospital. He was jailed for 18 weeks.
Philippa White, prosecuting, said Mrs Taylor had returned home at about 9pm to find her son and some of his friends in the kitchen. She asked the friends to leave and then asked Taylor to tidy the place up. “He screamed at her that she had ruined his life and then started throwing things around,” said Mrs White. “He pushed his mother against a door frame and when she tried to leave pushed her into a chair”
The police were eventually called and Taylor was arrested. At 2pm the following day he was hammering on her door and demanding to be let in.
When Mrs Taylor tried to leave, her son dragged her back and locked the door. He said if she tried to go anywhere he would kill her and than started hitting her with a trainer.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said his client fully accepted that his behaviour had been ‘wholly inappropriate’.
