RAWTENSTALL’s JEI Solutions has won international deals after receiving help from Regenerate Pennine Lancashire’s LEAP programme.
The company specialises in manufacturing, supplying and technical support of a wide range of drilling and metal working machines.
Managing director David McFadden and colleagues attended workshops and seminars to expand their knowledge and were given one-to-one coaching.
David said: “We’ve always had international contracts but LEAP provided me with the training and funding needed to access new markets and we have just started exporting.
"I found the overall experience very helpful and now the orders are beginning to flow.
“The level of support I received in putting together an effective agreement has provided my business with a good foundation on which to build new markets and maintain an existing overseas client base."
Since he bought the company three years ago, JEI Solutions has gone from strength to strength and is now regularly receiving orders from the Middle East, Africa and North America.
Dad-of-two David, who lives in Rawtenstall, said “It is critical to the business that we trade overseas. The UK market is very important to us but without overseas trading we limit ourselves as a brand as well as in terms of profit."
Regenerate Pennine Lancashire’s LEAP programme provides intensive coaching, mentoring, HR specialists, social enterprise and international trade support to non retail enterprises across Pennine Lancashire and has been active since February 2012.
