A CHARITY is calling on people in Clitheroe with an overflowing wardrobe to join its summer clear- out and donate unwanted clothes.
From today to Saturday, July 27, anyone donating a bag of pre-loved clothes to the Shelter shop, in Moor Lane, will have the chance to enter a free prize draw to win one of five Fujitsu tablet PCs.
Shelter’s summer clear-out has already seen some of England’s best-loved stars donate some of their favourite bits of clothing, including Stella McCartney boots from Chrissie Hynde. Exclusive celebrity items, including a signed trilby hat from Olly Murs, will be available to buy as part of an online pop-up shop on Ebay. Bidding opens at 9pm on Tuesday, July 23, at www.shelter.org. uk/sheltershops and closes at 9pm on Sunday, July 28.
Campbell Robb, Shelter’s chief executive, said: “We’re asking everyone to search their wardrobes and drop in to their local Shelter shop with a bag of pre-loved clothes, books and homeware. All the money raised helps us reach more people who need us.”
