A LAW firm Woodcocks, Haworth and Nuttall, based in Blackburn, raised £5,250 for Rossendale Hospice through an annual golf tournament.

The proceeds will go towards providing free palliative care for people diagnosed with cancer and other degenerative illnesses.

The event, now in its fifth year, saw 19 businesses from across East Lancashire compete at Rossendale Golf Club.

The overall winning team, driving range Golf Rossendale, were each awarded golf bags.

David McCann, senior partner and head of the commercial dispute resolution team, said: “As patrons of the charity, we understand that the support Rossendale Hospice provides has helped thousands of local people in need of care, as well as their families and friends.

“We are grateful to everyone who took part to raise money for this hugely valuable cause.”
