A COOKERY course has given a Pendle ladies group a real taste for further learning.
Jane Boothman, a trainer and assessor at Accrington and Rossendale College, has been working with members of Pendle Ladies Forum.
The class at Lomeshaye Juniors completed certificates in catering basics, nutrition and hygiene. And the 10 students even took part in a master chef competition.
Under the watchful eye of lecturer Danny Booth they prepared ‘restaurant standard’ fare. Anila Ahmed was awarded a cook book for her Achaar Gosht with Rasmali, a spicy lamb dish followed by milky pudding.
They are now looking to enrol on a higher qualification in cooking and theory practice in September.
