BLIND Blackburn Rovers supporter Chris Tattersall enjoyed a 60th birthday to remember after being taken on a surprise trip to the club’s senior training centre.
Mr Tattersall, who reproduces Rovers’ matchday programme in Braille for fellow fans, was presented with a signed shirt by manager Gary Bowyer at Brockhall Village.
A season ticket holder in the RFS Riverside Stand, Mr Tattersall was given a behind-the-scenes tour of the facilities before continuing his birthday celebrations with family and friends.
He said: “It has been a fantastic morning and a complete surprise.
“The Blackburn Rovers training ground was the last place I thought I would end up at today.
“I have been coming to games at Ewood Park since 1994 and up until now the manager and players have just been names, so to actually meet Gary Bowyer, as well as Scott Dann and Jordan Rhodes, was a real privilege.”
