A TEENAGER caught trying car door handles was homeless and had no cash, Burnley magistrates were told.
The court was told Oliver Lord Chadwick, 18, was desperate for money for food at the time of the offence. He had now moved back to his mother’s home and apologised for his actions.
Chadwick, of Bivel Street, Burnley, admitted vehicle interference in the town on June 16.
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.
