AN outdoor classroom has been approved for a Burnley primary school.
Education officials say a number of options were considered for a canopy arrangement at Rosewood Community Primary School.
But because of high winds frequently suffered by the Rosewood Avenue school, an open shelter was eventually discounted. An alternative, complete with sliding doors to keep out the elements when required, has been drawn up and approved by the county council’s development control committee.
The development will enable Rosewood to become part of the Forest School initiative.
