DEAN Mortimer, 48, of Derby Street, Nelson, appeared at Blackburn Magistrates Court on Saturday to answer charges of shoplifting and burglary.
Mr Mortimer is accused of taking property to the value of £1400 including a television, laptop, tablet computer and iPod touch from a residential property.
He was remanded in custody and will stand trial at Burnley Crown Court on July 24.
