A CANDLELIT wigil will be held at the Cenotaph in Oswaldtwistle today in honour of Lee Rigby, the drummer who was brutally killed in London, in May.
Members of the British Leigion will be in attendance and after the vigil, Oswaldtwistle Social Club, Rhyddings Street, is offering pints for £1.50 and will be collecting for Help for Heroes.
Oswaldtwistle councillor Peter Britcliffe said: “People have been asking if we could do something in Oswaldtwistle as a community to pay our respects to Lee Rigby and I thought this would be the time to do it, on the sad day before his funeral.”
