A SOCIAL inclusion service is hoping to get more children interested in sport by staging a ‘Kids Aloud’ family event at the Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre on Saturday, July 20.
The event, organised by the Creative Support office for Blackburn with Darwen, is by invitation only, for children and families who are currently supported by Child Action Northwest and the Blackburn Young Refugee Project.
There will be taster sessions in football, cricket, badminton and dance, with those who express an interest in taking up a sport offered funding and membership opportunities through local clubs.
There will also be an art workshop, live music and entertainment from Royal Variety performer Bob Wooding. Each child will receive a goody bag and a tour of Ewood Park. The event kicks off at 12.30pm.
