A BUDDING pop star who performed at London’s 02 Arena after reaching the final of a national singing competition, has won a day in a recording studio.
Faye Regan, 15, from Barrow, competed in the final of Teen Star 2013 on Sunday with the girlband Outspoken, which she only joined last year.
The group missed out on the top £10,000 cash prize with £50,000 record deal to solo artist Luke Friend.
The former St Augustine’s RC High School pupil said: “It was a bitter sweet day for us but we really enjoyed the experience.
“We have some projects that we are very excited about and this day in the recording studio will be fantastic for the group.
“It was amazing to perform at the 02 and I hope it will not be the last time.
“We were not too disappointed not to win because we have only been together for just under a year and we have come so far since then.”
Mum Sue said: “All the family were there supporting her and we are so proud of them all.”
