FOUNDATION diploma students studying art, design and media at Blackburn College have achieved the highest distinction rate in the country.
In total, 43 per cent of those graduating from the courses this summer will receive the top grade compared to a national benchmark of 18 per cent.
Of the 76 who completed the course, almost half will continue their studies at the University Centre in September.
Jamie Holman, foundation art, design and media programme leader, said: “The students will progress to study in various fields which include fine art, architecture, film-making, television production, sculpture, graphic design, animation, fashion design and more.”
Principal Ian Clinton said: “We pride ourselves on delivering the best courses we can.”
