A MAN was left with a broken nose following an unprovoked attack in Stacksteads.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, was at the Hare and Hounds pub, Newchurch Road, when he had a misunderstanding with the offender, who head-butted him.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who might know the suspected attacker to come forward.
The attacker was white, aged 19 to 25, around 5ft 7in with a medium build and a shaved head. He may be called Dave.
PC Richard Gregson, from Pennine Police, said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time or even in the pub and who witnessed what happened to come forward.”
Anyone with information on the attack, which happened on Friday around 9pm, should call Burnley Police on 101 quoting log reference number 1930 of July 5.
