POLICE are appealing for information to help trace a bench that was stolen from Gawthorpe Hall in Burnley.
The 100-year-old bench was taken some time between 5.30pm on June 29 and 10.30am on the June 30 from the courtyard of the park.
It is believed the offender or offenders would have used some sort of vehicle due to the weight of the bench which is made of cast iron.
PC Carla Martin said, “The bench is of great sentimental value to Gawthorpe Hall and so I would appeal to anybody who may have seen anybody acting suspiciously in the area around the time to come forward.
“Similarly, if anyone has any other information that they think could help, I would urge them to get in touch.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.
