PERFORMING Arts students have been getting tips from the professionals in a series of master classes held at Accrington and Rossendale College.

The workshops allowed the youngsters to question those in the trade and consider whether they would like to follow in their footsteps.

Among those offering advice were Scott and Bailey star Tony Mooney, singer Lareena Mitchell and Coronation Street actor Ben Thompson.

JP Cherrington, programme area leader, said: “We really encourage our students to raise their aspirations.

“The best way to do this is to put them in the same room as successful profess- ionals.”
