A SCHOOL sports coach was remanded in custody on child sex charges.
Glyn Thompson faces allegations of five offences under the Sexual Offences Act, including assault with penetration and sexual activity with a child.
The allegations date back to 2011 and 2012, when the defendant was working at Stoneyholme Primary School, Burnley, and relate to one teenage girl who was not a pupil at the school.
Thompson, 31, of Padiham Road, Burnley, did not enter a plea at the Blackburn Magistrates' Court hearing. The court refused his application for bail. The case will now be heard at Burnley Crown Court on July 24.
