TWO people fled their Blackburn home after a bin caught fire indoors.
Two crews were called to Bunkers Hill Close at around 8.20am on Sunday after reports of smoke coming from a bathroom.
Crew manager Martin Counsell said his team spent around 45 minutes at the scene.
He said: “There was a lady and a young man inside at the time but they managed to just walk straight out the front door.
“We believe the fire started in a waste bin but we’re not sure exactly how and investigations are ongoing.
“There was a little bit of damage to the waste bin but, generally, the house and its occupants were unharmed.”
