BLACKBURN Children’s Libraries have launched a new Summer Reading Challenge called ‘Creepy House’.
Children aged 4 to 12 years are challenged to read six books between July and September and will receive a special record card with goodies to collect along the way.
There will also be free story-time and rhyme-time sessions across Blackburn and Darwen, and children can take part in creepy activities including making pop-ups and spider puppets, cartoon drawing with a professional artist, story and painting sessions and, for older children, creating online comics.
To find out more about Creepy House go to summerreadingchallenge.org.uk.
